Steamfitters will be co-hosting a 3-day in-person training summit at the Technology Center with the North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council appropriately titled The Natural Refrigerant Training Summit happening March 19-21, 2024  All Refrigeration Technicians (both union and non-union) are invited to participate. Also Local 449 HVACR students and faculty are invited to join networking sessions to help build the industry. 

The Natural Refrigerant Training Summit is a free training event and expo for refrigeration technicians. The event will provide comprehensive training on CO2 and propane from multiple manufacturers and industry experts. This will include concurrent technician training, access to live CO2 mobile training systems, exhibits featuring the latest natural refrigerant products and service offerings.  

This summit wouldn’t be possible without the partnership of the North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council, an action oriented environmental nonprofit contributing to the most impactful solution to climate change. Together with the supermarket industry, NASRC is reducing greenhouse gas emissions from HFC refrigerants and paving the way for climate-friendly natural refrigerants.
