Networking Event Coming To Local 449’s Technology Center!

HVACR students will be counting down the school hours for the Natural Refrigerant Training Summit’s HVACR Student & Industry Networking Event. On March 20th, 2024. From 3p-6p at Steamfitters Local 449 Technology Center, students will be able to build connections with 300+ industry stakeholders, as well as learn about commercial refrigeration career opportunities.

This event is designed for students to meet with industry leaders and discuss future opportunities. “This event offers students the chance to network with potential employers, delve into refrigeration career prospects, and hear firsthand from individuals who have excelled in this field,” said NASRC Executive Director Danielle Wright

Not only will students be able to connect with others in the field, they will be able to connect with the latest technology in the field. The training summit has proven success in the past with students and the NASRC wants to continue to make sure that everyone is given the opportunity to succeed when they program is completed. “The energy at these events is incredible. Watching students experience the interaction with so many industry representatives, all gathered in one place, is consistently rewarding. While many students enter unsure of what to expect, the majority leave with a newfound appreciation for exceptional career options and valuable connections to pursue,” said Wright.

The NASRC hope to bridge the gap between industry employers and potential employees, providing students with insights into this outstanding but often underrepresented career path. They also aim to enhance collaboration between schools and the industry, ensuring that schools have access to the individuals and resources that will support their programs.

Students preparing to attend the event are encouraged to bring a resume and be punctual to maximize their time at the event. Students will also be able to enter for a drawing in raffle prizes. The industry leaders attending are eager to speak with the students to potentially kick-start their careers, so please come prepared to learn all of what a career in refrigeration has to offer.
