From One Brotherhood to Another

Local 449 is the perfect next chapter for men and women finish service in the armed forces. All month we’ve spotlighted Navy veteran and HVAC-R instructor, Josh Wasielewski on our social media. He detailed the transition from soldier to steamfitter reflecting on it as a great choice, even without much experience in the trade.

“You don’t have to know everything about the HVAC field. Starting day one, we’ll train you and all you have to bring is that honor, courage, commitment attitude.” says Josh Wasielewski.

In addition to the stellar healthcare, retirement and competitive wages, there are many other benefits to joining Local 449. Tradesmen and women can use the GI Bill starting year one, which includes a variety of career path options within the Steamfitters trade.
