Our technology center has become a destination for HVAC-R education and training. Instructors and industry experts from all over the country come out to our state-of-the-art facility to teach the latest technologies to our Steamfitters. This month, we welcomed Rusty Walker to the technology center to teach a class on CO2. You may remember Walker from last year’s NASRC event held on our campus last March. Rusty spent two days training some of our members on CO2 systems and the future of the HVACR industry. As the training director for the NASRC, he is one of the most knowledgeable instructors on sustainable refrigeration in the country.
The training that takes place at the Steamfitters Technology Center extends far beyond the apprenticeship program. We work in a trade that is constantly evolving and changing, especially when it comes to HVAC-R. That’s why this type of ongoing training that is made available to our members is another reason why we continue to be recognized as one of the best educational institutions in all the trades. We are excited to have professionals like Rusty visit and help to enhance the versatility of our members.
Rusty Walker will return to the Technology Center for NASRC’s National Refrigerant Training Summit in March.
