In the construction industry, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) sets federal standards that help protect workers from job site hazards. Safety Training Built Into Apprenticeship
Safety education begins early in the apprenticeship program. Apprentices earn multiple safety certifications alongside their trade training, ensuring they enter job sites prepared and confident. These certifications include OSHA training, First Aid, ICRA 10, Arc Flash, Scissor Lift, and Aerial Boom instruction. Many apprentices also prepare to complete the OSHA-30 certification, further expanding their qualifications.
Because every apprentice completes this safety curriculum, both Building Trades and HVACR students develop the skills needed to recognize hazards, respond quickly, and prevent incidents before they occur. This preparation helps protect not only our members but also everyone working alongside them.
Ongoing Safety Education for Journeymen
