Training, Demonstrations, and Hands-On Sessions
The Natural Refrigerant Training Summit Pittsburgh is only one week away. Local 449 HVAC-R Training Director Brad Tisdale explains what participants can expect during this three-day event at the Steamfitters Technology Center and Event Center in Harmony, PA. The summit runs from March 19 through March 21, and it is free to attend. Because the HVAC-R industry is changing quickly, this training is a useful chance to stay current.
Many older refrigerants are being phased out. They can harm the environment, so the shift toward COโ, R290, and R600 systems continues to grow. As a result, technicians need to understand how these systems work. This summit gives them clear, hands-on guidance.
Training, Demonstrations, and Hands-On Sessions
During the event, attendees can rotate through several classes. Each session covers a specific topic, which makes the learning process easier to follow. If someone misses a class, they can attend the same session later that day or the next one. Because the classes repeat, everyone can build a complete understanding at their own pace.
In addition, manufacturers will bring tools, displays, and live-fire equipment. This includes a working COโ trainer. On Thursday, attendees will be able to charge a COโ rack system and handle real equipment. As a result, technicians can gain practical experience and prepare for real job-site situations.
Networking Opportunities and Student Events
The summit also offers time to meet other professionals. On Tuesday evening, service technicians can attend a social event with manufacturers. There will be refreshments, conversations, and sponsored giveaways. This helps technicians make new connections and ask questions directly.
On Wednesday evening, HVAC-R students are invited to a special social hour. They can talk with industry professionals, learn more about the field, and hear from a guest speaker. This event gives students a clear picture of future career options.
Attendance is expected to reach nearly 400 people, including visitors from several states and Canada. Because of this, the summit is a strong place to share ideas and learn from others.
If you work in refrigeration or study HVAC-R, this is an important event to attend. Register today and join us at the Natural Refrigerant Training Summit Pittsburgh.
