Cheers for three years! October marks the 3-year anniversary of the Daikin Laboratory at the Local 449 Technology Center.
On October 25th, 2022, we cut the ribbons on this addition to our facility to further solidify our training center as a hub for the entire east coast. This collaboration between the United Association and Daikin gives instructors access to the latest Daikin equipment and appliances. As a result, they can train through real-life simulations and hands-on scenarios.
“The idea behind it is to train other UA instructors to go back to their home locals and train their instructors.
The goal is to share this knowledge with all home locals. This way, instructors can properly service, maintain, and install the equipment.
Daikin is a leading innovator and provider of advanced, high-quality air conditioning solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Our Daikin Lab has also served as a significant feature of the NASRC’s last two Pittsburgh Natural Refrigerant Training Summits.
After the construction of the Daikin Lab, our leadership has continued to add new training equipment and resources to our facility on a yearly basis. Stay tuned for our next blog detailing some of the newer additions to our technology center.
In addition, the Daikin Lab Pittsburgh continues to strengthen Steamfitters UA449’s training leadership. Furthermore, new equipment is added each year to keep instruction current with industry standards. Because of this, the Technology Center remains a leading HVAC training hub for Pennsylvania and the East Coast.
